Lloyd Gerig Roth

Lloyd G. Roth, 91, of Lebanon passed away Wednesday at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.

He was born in Lebanon, the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Gerig) Roth. He was raised in Lebanon and on May 21, 1948, he married Wilma Helmuth in Louisville, Ohio. They lived on a farm near Lebanon for many years. Wilma preceded Lloyd in death on Aug. 4, 2007.

Lloyd enjoyed taking the grandchildren camping, fishing and traveling with Wilma. His first love was farming and he was a member of Fairview Mennonite Church.

Lloyd is survived by daughter Twila and husband Ron Ernst of Salem; son Daryl Roth of Lebanon; grandchildren, Brad and wife Stefanie Ernst of Folsom, Pa., Michael Ernst of Seattle, Natalie Ernst of Seattle, Jennifer and husband Kevin Fantus of Lebanon, and Travis Roth-Fortune and wife Alyssa of Newberg; great grandchildren Samantha Ernst and Olivia Fantus; and brothers Glenn and Ivan Roth, both of Albany, and Orie Roth of Fresno, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Wilmer Roth.

Viewing will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Fairview Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Mennonite Cemetery.
