Loelleta (Lee) Faye Bauer
September 28, 1932 - April 30, 2014
Lee Bauer passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Stoneybrook Assisted Living in Corvallis, Oregon.
Lee was born in Troy, South Dakota to William and Faye Jurgensen. She grew up in various towns in South Dakota as her father, a minister, moved around to churches in the area.
Lee graduated high school in South Dakota and attended college at Yangton College, receiving a teaching certificate.
Lee married Edgar Frederick Bauer in 1956 in New Salem, North Dakota and they lived in Riverdale, North Dakota until moving to Sweet Home, Oregon in 1967. They had 2 sons (David William Bauer and Timothy Lee Bauer) while in Riverdale.
Edgar died in 1977, and Lee continued living in Sweet Home, marrying Victor C. Bauer (Edgar's cousin) in 1983.
Lee was a devout member of the Lutheran Church, participating in numerous church organizations, teaching sunday school, and singing in church choir. She also enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, crafts, and gardening as hobbies.
Donations may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Lebanon, in her memory.
Lee is survived by husband, Victor Bauer (Corvallis, Oregon), son David Bauer and wife Barbara Sneath, and grandchildren Genevieve and Philip (Portage, Michigan). Also by son Timothy Bauer and wife Mary Bauer and grandchildren Jason and Kaitlin, and great grandson Andrew, (Corvallis, Oregon).
A funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 7, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 434 E. Grant St., Lebanon, Oregon at 1:00 p.m. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements (
