Margaret "Micki" Hanson, 87, of Albany passed away on Monday at Wynwood Albany.
Micki was born in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Maria (Hagstrom) Widman. She grew up in Chicago and when she was 16 the family moved to Minnesota.
She married Samuel Huff; they had three children and later divorced. Micki later married Ronald Hanson and they moved to Albany in 1974; they later divorced.
Micki earned two associate's degrees from LBCC in graphic arts and social media. She enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking and skiing. She was an active member of South Albany Community Church, Albany Senior Center, and was a volunteer painter for the Albany Carousel Project. She was a founder of the Mid-Willamette Valley Wheelman, and started the Wednesday "Hooky Bus" to Hoodoo Ski Bowl.
Micki is survived by daughters Diane Y. Berkhemer of Santa Cruz, California, and Cherri Huff of Roseville, California; son Scott L. Huff of Marcellus, Michigan; grandchildren Kristina Deaton, Casey Huff, Jonathon Berkhemer, Taylor McWilliams and Mackenzi McWilliams; and great-grandchildren Aiden Deaton, Ashlynn Deaton and Finn Berkhemer.
A celebration of life was at South Albany Community Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Historic Carousel and Museum in Albany, Susan B Komen Foundation or YWAM in care of the funeral home.
