Marianna DavisMarch 16, 1953 - July 22, 2008Marianna Davis, 55, of Shedd died Tuesday.Marianna was born in Amsterdam to Jerrit and Maria Janssen, the youngest of six children. The family moved to Oregon in 1960. She graduated from Corvallis High School in 1973. On June 17, 1973 she married Gordon Davis. In 1985 they adopted their daughter, Christina.Marianna always loved animals and spent many years of her life raising horses and dogs. She spent the last couple of months of her life enjoying being a grandmother and spending time with her new grandson.She is survived by her husband, Gordon of Shedd; daughter Christina; and grandson Zephram of Sweet Home.Marianna requested that any donations made go to a fund she set up for her grandson Zephram Sitton at Key Bank.A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Brownsville Assembly of God Church on Hwy 228 in Brownsville. Private interment will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Lebanon.Aasum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
