Marie Magdalena (Berger) Hensley left to be with loved ones in heaven on July 6, 2025, a beautiful Sunday morning at age 84.

She was born in Helena, Montana, September 28, 1940 to Frank and Magdalena Berger. She was the sixth of 10 siblings. As a child, she had fond memories of watching her mother bake bread. Her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she attended South Phoenix High School. She met her future husband at 17 years of age. Silas Glen Hensley, had come to visit his sister next door. They married in June 1958, moved to Texas and had three children. All three children were born in Texas. Eventually they moved to Hubbard, Oregon where she owned and operated the Hubbard Market for over 25 years. In 1981, she was blessed to add another son to the family. During retirement she loved spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at the coast with friends and family. She loved taking trips with her sisters. She was involved (simultaneously) with three different Bunco groups. You didn't stand a chance against her playing cards and board games. She also enjoyed making donations to several local casinos.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1978. She lost her daughter, Barbara Jean Hensley, in 2019 and a stepdaughter Beryl Isenhower in 2020. She is survived by her three sons, Silas Glen Hensley, Jr; Roy Allen Hensley; and Thomas Howard Campbell; a step son, Fred Weatherly; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She also is survived by an extended network of close friends.

She was a believer in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

She is loved by many, including extended family, and friends. Her warm personality, smile and laugh will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life is planned for September 6, 2025 in Hubbard, Oregon. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice, Albany, OR.
