Marilyn Frances Gammell, 54 of Albany, passed away on Sunday, May 21st, 2017.
Marilyn was born in Bakersfield, CA in 1962 to Wanda Noble and Perry Coleman Vaughn. She was one of 5 children. She moved to Oregon in 1983.
Marilyn married Daniel Gammell in Salem, OR in 2005. They resided in Albany with son Jacob Daniel Moore. She enjoyed spending time with her cats, taking trips to the coast and watching her sci-fi movies. Marilyn had to have her coffee drinks and can't forget her video games. She also enjoyed shopping and attending estate sales.
Marilyn especially loved moments with her grandchildren and time spent with her family. She was a very kind, caring and special lady who will be forever missed and cherished by many. She touched the hearts of all who came into her life and will never be forgotten.
Marilyn is survived by her children: Virgil Wallace "Wally" Adams (34 of Keizer), Violet Marie Adams (33 of LaPine), and Jacob Daniel Moore (30 of Albany; grandchildren Jaren Bradley Adams (13) and Braxton Dean Fugate (8); daughter-in-law Amy Adams (32); husband Daniel Gammell; sisters Susie Poteet and Elizabeth Ann Vaughn; and brother James Coleman Vaughn.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 26th from 3-5 PM at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will take place at Bryant Park in Albany (801 Bryant Way) on Saturday, May 27th at 1:00 PM. All are welcome and there will be a potluck so people are encouraged to bring an item.
