Martha Louise Williams, 90, of Albany passed away Monday morning at the Mennonite Home.
She was born in Sodus Township, Minn., the daughter of Samuel and Claira Mae (Henkel) Sullivan. She was raised in Minnesota and married Morris Williams on Sept. 29, 1938, in Brookings, S.D., and they came to Albany in 1964. Martha worked for J.C. Penny in Albany for 20 years and retired in 1986. Morris preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 1985. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors, Eagles Auxiliary and the Presbyterian Church. Martha enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, baking and canning.
Martha is survived by daughters ValDonna and husband Robert Brinkmeyer of Prineville, Janice and husband William Workman of Albany, and Linda Fisher of Albany; son Marvin and wife Susan Williams of Pleasant Hill; sister Mary Ellen Neyens of Russell, Minn.; sister-in-law Jeanette Williams of Marshal, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, LeRoy, Marvin and Lester; two sisters, Edna and Florence; daughter Mary Jane Livingston; and two grandchildren, Ginger and Craig Livingston.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the funeral home. Private family inurnment was held at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany.
