Mary Esther Davenport passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2015, in Albany.
Mary was the first of 11 children born on Feb. 15, 1936, to Jerald Cray and Katherine Orlene Compton Cray in Peach Orchard, Arkansas. At the age of 16, she married David Lee Davenport in Klamath Falls and has spent her life devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and countless loving family members and friends.
Her beloved son, Michael Ellis Davenport, her mother and daddy, and her sister, Amy Ophelia Hicks, preceded Mary in death.
Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, David Davenport; children Doug and Debbie Davenport, Katherine "Beth" Coleman, Deana Leann Culbertson, and Marty and Jane Davenport; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; beloved brothers and sisters; and nieces, nephews and many friends.
Mary's family will hold a celebration of her life, to be announced at a later date and time. All family and friends are invited to attend.
