Mary Merline Miller, 95, of Albany passed away on Monday at her home.
Mary was born in Albany to Emry and Lydia (Erb) Neuschwander. She grew up in Harrisburg and married William "Bill" Miller in Harrisburg on June 1, 1936. They resided in Harrisburg and Tangent before returning to Albany in 1950. She was a long time member of Fairview Mennonite Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and very active with the Fairview Mennonite Sewing Circle. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, hand work, canning, gardening and sewing clothing for her children out of flour sacks. She loved to serve her family and friends.
Mary is survived by sons Truman Miller and wife Ardys of Albany, Emerson Miller and wife Rita of Caldwell, Idaho, and Allen Miller and wife Sandy of Nampa, Idaho; daughters Myrna Hamblin and husband Jim of Hazard, Kentucky, and Glenda Miller of Albany; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William; three brothers and one sister; son Mark Leland Miller; daughter Freda Miller; and grandson Troy Miller.
A visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Fairview Mennonite Church. Private family burial will be held at Fairview Mennonite Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Mennonite Sewing Circle in care of the funeral home.
