Obituary
Matthew Copsey, 28, of Albany died Feb. 17 after being struck by a vehicle while he was crossing Highway 20 just east of Interstate 5.
He attended Central Elementary School and Memorial Middle School in Albany and Scio High School, where he played basketball and excelled in math. He earned a GED.
He is survived by his mother, Regina Horner of Albany; father Andres Corral of Albany; sister Michelle Horner of Albany; and grandmother Mary E. Smith of Albany.
He especially loved his niece, Alicia; and nephews Pedro, Martin, Manuel and Juan.
Matthew enjoyed family barbecues and his mother's eggs benedict.
During his childhood, he dreamed of becoming a police officer.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home in Albany.
