Merle E. "Andy" Anderson was called Home on February 26, 2014.
He was born March 5, 1941 in Silverton to Carl Edward Anderson and Esther Marie Foster-Anderson, the youngest of four children. A life-long herdsman and gardener, he died at his home in Albany surrounded by family and friends.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Arden; and his sons Mark and Jason.
He is survived by his wife Vivian; sons Matthew and Michael; daughter Kimberly; six grandchildren; siblings Paul Alton Anderson and Carol Edwards.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Cemetery in Silverton, Oregon. Celebration of life service will be March 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Venetian (Fusion Faith Center) in Albany, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, donate in his name to Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch Sisters, Oregon, Mayo Clinic Research Rochester, Minnesota, Silverton Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, CaringBridge.org.
