Michael Sean ArnoldSept. 13, 1957 - January 12, 2009Michael Sean Arnold, 51, passed away Jan. 12, at the Portland VA Hospital of congestive heart failure, with his loving family at his side. Mike was born and grew up in Albany.  He attended Oak Grove, North Albany Middle School, and graduated from West Albany in 1975. He then entered the Navy and served as a hospital corpsman on the USS Kitty Hawk.  He was attached to the Marines as a medic during rifle qualifications and won many sharp shooting medals.  He was honorably discharged in late 1977.Mike loved sports, racing, good music and the trips he took to Baja with his family.He is survived by his parents, Clair and Evelyn Arnold, of Lebanon.  Beloved daughter Haley Flores and her two sons, Ezra James Flores and Levi Jude Flores of West Linn; sisters Cheri Gordon or Corvallis and Connie Howarth of Albany;  brother Billy Arnold of Lebanon; nieces Clarice Gordon of Gaston, Tami Gordon of Albany, Ashley Nofziger of Lebanon and Samantha Howarth of Albany; and brother in law Butch Gordon of Albany.Mike was preceded in death by his sister Terri Seeley.There will be no services.  A memorial is planned and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Albany American Legion Post #10.  AAsum-Dufour is handling arrangements   ( www.aasum-dufour.com )
