Michael Alan DiSante was born on September 13th, 1956 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. His love and appreciation of the outdoors was what attracted him initially to the Northwest. Michael relocated with his family in the mid 1990s to Corvallis, Oregon.

Michael took a job at a grocery store in order to make the cross country move, but landscaping opportunities allowed him to pursue what he found more enjoyable. Since high school, Michael kept his own garden, and through adulthood continued to enjoy those of ever increasing size. If not tending to vegetables, Michael could often be found with his camera, making an effort to capture the joy he found outside in order to share it with others.

Michael was fortunate to celebrate the birth of five grandchildren, who brought out his playful nature and whom he thoroughly enjoyed.

Michael was very much loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.
