Mike (Marshall) Thaddeus Smith, November 18th 1973 to May 29th, 2026

Mike was born in Fairview, Oklahoma to Charlotte and Marshall Smith. He lived in Oklahoma with his parents and sister Cheryl “Denyse” until the family moved to Oregon in 1987. Mike graduated from West Albany High School in 1990. He then completed a technical program for Auto Body work at Linn Benton Community College. It was during this time his daughter Mikaila was born in 1993. Mike spent the next 30 years working in the Automotive field, and his second child Ley was born in 2004.

Mike was an incredibly hardworking and talented craftsman, although he was working a heavy machinery mechanic towards the end of his career, he was singularly talented at auto body painting and repair. His last project was the restoration of a classic car for his father, which he found both challenging, frustrating, and rewarding because of the time they spent together on it. Mike was very intelligent and it showed in his quick wit and sense of humor. He loved nothing more than getting out on his Harley Road King for a ride, and enjoyed trips to the Southwest US with his father and close friends in recent years. He was a loving father and an extremely loyal friend, and he will be missed.

He is survived by his Mother Charlotte and Father Marshall; Sister Denyse; Son Ley; Daughter Mikaila and Grandson Chance.
