Morris Sydney BurtonSept. 27, 1930 - Jan. 28, 2010Morris Sydney Burton, born September 27, 1930 to parents, Margaret and Alex Burton, in New Westminster BC, Canada, passed away January 28, 2010, in the Mennonite Village in Albany, Oregon, with his wife Virginia Burton by his side. Morris retired from Oregon Freeze Dry Foods after 24 years of dedicated service. He was a passionate farmer and continued to work on his ranch in Lebanon, Oregon, after his retirement.Morris raised his family, along with Virginia, always living on a farm and working hard to provide for them everyday of his life. While raising his children, he also was an active Leader in 4-H for his family and community.Morris, who was a devoted follower of the lord, is survived by his Wife, Virginia. They met in elementary school and married 59 years ago. His four children: Morris Burton Jr. (Rusty), Randolph Burton, Doris Jennings and Sonia Nishi. Five Grandchildren: Miles, Travis, Troy, Alexander and Karina.Morris was preceded in death by his daughter, Sophia Cerbin, who died on March 27, 2007.A public Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Mennonite Village in Albany Oregon at 5 PM.Aasum-Dufour Funeral Home will be handling arrangements.
