Myrna Loy McMackin, 72, of Albany passed away at Corvallis Manor.
She was born in Tishomingo, Okla., the daughter of Alex and Helen (Smith) McCollom. In 1954 Myrna's family moved to Santa Clara, Calif., and she graduated from high school there in 1956.
She married Larry L. McMackin in Reno in 1992. Myrna worked as a bookkeeper for Wah Chang for many years and retired in the mid 1990s. She enjoyed bowling and had bowled a 661 just before she became ill. She also enjoyed fishing, RVing, and being with her family.
She is survived by husband Larry L. McMackin of Albany; sons Randy Stephenson of Scotts Valley, Calif., and Rick Stephenson of Tualitin; daughter Amy Geiger of Albany; stepsons Larry G. McMackin of Minnesota and Christopher McMackin of Albany; sister Nell Brown of New Mexico, brother Wayne McCollom of Arizona; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Albany Church of Christ on Hill Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association.
