Obituary
Nancy Carol Aldrich Gierau passed away on Aug. 2, 2011 at the age of 77. Nancy was born and raised in Glendale, Calif. She was a retired school teacher in the LA County.
Nancy moved to Oregon in 1988 and was involved with Oregon Girl State sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Post #10. She was a charter member of the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum and Oregon Gardens Associate. She loved to Square Dance, play cards and travel.
She is survived by her husband Robert Gierau of Albany; sister Elainor in Chatworth, Calif; step-daughters Mary Hanson, Julia Welborn, Paula Rohloff, Kathleen Sime and Barbara Weibel; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 11 at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. Contributions in Nancy's memory can be made to Oregon Girls State American Legion Auxiliary Unit #10 in Albany.
