Nancy A. WillcoxMarch 5, 1944 - November 18, 2009Nancy A. Willcox, 65, of Lebanon passed away Wednesday  at her home.  Nancy was born in Albany  the daughter of Arthur and Helen Scott their only daughter.Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; brother Robert Thompson; and an infant grand-daughter. Nancy graduated from Albany Union High in 1962, was a Merritt Davis Business School graduate and worked in both the wood products industry and for the State of Alaska corrections.  She was a member of the First Christian Church and instrumental in the founding of the FISH Chapter in Albany serving as its Chairman in the second year of existence. She received a Volunteer of the Year award from Oregon Senator Powell and US Senator Packwood in 1975 for her work with FISH.  She taught classes at Linn Benton Community College in the mid 1970's.  Nancy received other awards for her outstanding community efforts from Albany General Hospital and was nominated a Pink Lady Specialist in 1971 for "work beyond the call of duty."  She met David R Willcox in 1964 and was married Feb. 6, 1965.  They lived in Albany until 1987 where her husband worked in the wood products industry.  They moved to Alaska in 1988.  They divorced in 1990.  Nancy lived in Alaska working for the State of Alaska Corrections Center.  Nancy returned to Oregon and was reunited with her husband in 2001 and they have been together in Lebanon since.  She spent her remaining years in Oregon enjoying her grandchildren and collecting antiques. She is survived by her husband; four children Todd M Willcox, his son Jordan, of Gig Harbor Wash., David S Willcox and wife Gina, their daughter's Karlee, Sydney, Haley, Emma and son Jacob, of Lebanon; Steven R Willcox, his son's Travis and Kylar and daughter Ashley  of Lebanon; and Sean D Willcox of Lebanon.A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 30, at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to FISH of Albany and sent in care of the funeral home.  ( www.aasum-dufour.com )
