Natalie Ann Glass, 35, passed from this life to the next in Newport in a recreational accident.
She was born in Stockton, Calif. As a child, Natalie enjoyed fishing, camping and having rock fights with her two older brothers.
Natalie "Nat" was focused on sports through her high school years and graduated from Ashland High School. She then attended Oregon State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree.
Natalie began her career as a parole office for Linn County through the Oregon Department of Corrections. She was fun-loving and active, and her hobbies included softball, tennis, rock climbing, camping, fishing, bicycling and traveling.
Natalie married her soul mate, Eric Glass, in Corvallis on Aug. 2, 2008. In addition to Eric, Natalie loved shoes, coats, cycling, motorcycles, scuba diving and all forms of animal rescue (greyhounds in particular).
Natalie's dream of a family was realized with the birth of her sons, Jaxson, 3, and Jaren, 1. She adored her boys and their adventures. Time spent with them reading, teaching them about astronomy, trips to the beach (especially Hawaii), soccer games, power shopping and tickling her boys brought her the greatest joy. Natalie's contagious smile, which she gave to her sons, brightened everyone's day.
Natalie was a quick-witted, strong-willed, selfless, committed and loving mother and wife. She was a superb off-key singer who made up her own lyrics as she sang in the car to her guys. She enjoyed tattoos, which represented important people, special times and her heritage.
She is survived by her beloved sons, Jaxson and Jaren; husband Eric; mother Gail; brothers Daniel and David and their wives and children; grandparents Marion and Pat; uncles Steve, Dave, Keith and Marty; and aunt Debbie.
A celebration of Life was held for Natalie at Grant Avenue Baptist Church in Corvallis where she was a member.
Memorial donations may be made to Safe Haven Humane Society, P.O. Box 2018, Albany, OR 97321.
