NATHAN DANGER PALMER
March 2, 1983 – September 7, 2026
Salem, OR
Nate was born on March 2 ,1983, in Albany, Oregon, to Daniel and Paula Palmer (now Turner). He grew up in Millersburg and learned to hunt and fish with his dad. The family (including his younger sister, Elaine) went on many camping trips where they rode mountain bikes, fished, hiked, and generally loved being outdoors. During his teen years, Nate’s dad became mentally ill and was no longer part of his life. His mother then married Paul Turner, who then adopted him.
Nate graduated from South Albany High School in 2001. He also attended Linn Benton Community College where he took welding classes. He then worked at Pacific Cast Technology for many years, first as a grinder, then as a welder. He went on sabbatical and lived in Ashland, then moved to Salem, Oregon. He was a driver for Amazon delivering packages.
His son, Finnagan, was born in 2003. They enjoyed spending time with each other and with friends. Nate loved visiting with his family and friends. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, playing rugby and disc golf. He especially loved going to the Oregon State Fair every year with his parents and Finn.
He is survived by his son, Finnagan Palmer; his sisters, Elaine Palmer Smith and Helen Turner Naegle, and his parents Paul and Paula Turner.
All who knew and loved Nate are invited to join his family in celebrating his life on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at The Shift Church located at 5775 Columbus St. SE, Albany, OR 97322 (casual attire).
