Nellie C. KiefMay 2, 1916 - June 26, 2009Nellie C. Kief, 93, of Albany, passed away June 26 at Lydia's House in Mennonite Village.  She was born in Hubbard, the daughter of Daniel W. and Sarah E. (Roth) Good.  She attended Gore School in Lebanon and married Loren H. Kief on Dec. 24, 1938, in Albany, He preceded her in death on May 22, 1999.  Nellie was a member of Albany Mennonite Church, and she and her husband made many comforters for Mennonite Central Committee.  She enjoyed walking and flower gardening.She is survived by daughters, Judy Bacher and Jewell Stanley both of Albany;  sons Ron Kief of Sherwood and Jim Kief of Albany;  12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister Della Hofstetter of Ohio.  She was preceded in death by three brothers Ed, Harry, and Alvin Good.A memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 12, at Albany Mennonite Church.  Memorial contributions may be made to The Mennonite Central Committee in care of the church. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements ( www.aasum-dufour.com ).
