Nobel E. 'Tiny' Porter, 72, of Albany died Monday at her home.
He was born in Brush, Colo., to Harold and Hazel Porter. He married Juanita on April 21, 1978.
Tiny enjoyed visiting with friends and family, fishing, mining and gardening. He worked as a heavy equipment operator throughout Oregon, most recently with Mid Pacific Enterprises. He previously worked with Rick Franklin Corp Railroad Division.
Tiny will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Porter of Albany; sons Russell Porter and wife Kim of Pittsburg, Okla., Jeff Barber of Lebanon and Mike Kline of Lebanon; daughters Sandi Porter and Angie Barber, both of Albany; brothers Leonard Porter and wife Mary of Salem, and Allen Porter of Springfield; sisters-in-law Lillian Porter of Washington and Marilyn Meyers of Prineville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and close dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Porter of Springfield; and sister Joyce Fraser of Springfield.
A celebration of life will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Holiday Inn, 105 Opal Court, Albany. Please bring a favorite memory of Tiny to share.
