Orwell Raymond Mailloux, 91, of Lebanon died on Friday at PS We Love Seniors in Corvallis.
Ray was born in Sturgis, S.D., to Fred R. and Daisey J. (Officer) Mailloux. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945. He married Dorothy M. Whipple in August of 1943 and they had two sons, Ronald and Richard. After his discharge, Ray worked in the logging and lumber industry. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and working on TVs and radios. Ray was also a small plane pilot and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, skeet shooting and riding on the back of his son, Richard's, motor cycle.
Ray is survived by niece Esteen Elliston and her sons, Dennis and Kenneth; niece Joan Snyder, husband Don, and their children, Teresa McClain and husband Rick, Mike Snyder and wife Debbie, and Christy Cutter and husband Andy; and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; and sons Ronald and Richard Mailloux.
The family would like to thank the caregivers Kelly and Tina for all their loving care.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Benton Hospice in care of the funeral home.
A private family burial will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Park in Junction City.
