Obituary

Patricia Ann Roth, 82, of Scio passed away Tuesday in Salem.

She was born in Eugene, the second of three daughters born to Ernest and Minnie (Hecht) Kutsch.

Pat married Alfred W. (Bud) Roth on June 17, 1945, in Shedd. The couple made their home in several mid-valley communities before moving to Scio in 1955, settling in the West Scio area in 1968.

She enjoyed watching her sons Ken and Brett and her grandchildren play sports. She was an avid crafter who liked knitting, sewing and making creations from plastic canvas. She also loved dancing, fishing and spending time with her family and many friends.

Pat is survived by three sons, Richard of Scio, Ken and wife Kay of Albany, and Brett and fiancé Joanne of Scio; grandchildren Cassi and husband Ben Harris of Elk Grove, Calif., Sarah Roth of Albany, Joshua and wife Rhianna of Scio, Becky Roth of Albany, Toni Alexander, Terri Ross and Tami and husband Jeff Bittner of Olympia, Wash., Tia Billington of Scio, Steven Billington of Lebanon and Joey Billington of Wyoming; great-grandchildren Destiny Susnik and Savannah Harris of Elk Grove, Calif., Landon Billington of Newport, Rialee Ann Roth of Scio and Sebastian Dill of Albany. Pat also leaves behind her sister Justine McKee of Lacey, Wash., and numerous stepgrandchildren and greatgrandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews and many special friends, including Don Laird of Astoria and Phylis Keafauer and Mark Adams of Lebanon.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bud; son Alfred W. Roth Jr.; and sister Helen Sondonaa.

A memorial service to celebrate Pat's life will start at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the ZCBJ Hall in Scio.
