Obituary
Patrick J. Kearney of Albany, born April 2, 1939, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 14, 2015.
He is survived by his wife, Cairo; and was a devoted and kind father to his children, son John Kearney, and daughters Denise Kearney and Barbra Linsenbigler; and beloved stepfather to son Aaron Golub and daughter Moria Golub. He also was a loved and very special grandfather to Abigail Thornton, Zahava Thornton and Lily Bo Golub.
A resident of Albany for eight years and a native of San Francisco, Patrick is also survived by his sister, Nora Kearney of San Francisco, and brother Bill Kearney of Santa Rosa, California.
A small family gathering will attend his cremation on Friday. A larger memorial gathering is being planned to take place in 6 to 8 weeks so friends and family may attend to celebrate this kind and gracious man.
Patrick was an avid bird-watcher, a hiker and photographer, a sports fan and antique car enthusiast.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the National Parks Foundation.
