Paul Harold Johnson Jr.

Paul Harold Johnson, Jr. 51 of Tigard, Ore. passed away on Sunday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Portland.

Paul was born August 1, 1963 in Baltimore, Md., to Paul Sr. & Frances Johnson of Albany.

Paul came to Oregon in 1977, attended West Albany High and graduated from OSU in 1993 earning his degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for Intellidex and Verteq Systems early on in his career. He spent 14 years at Adec in Newberg before becoming ill.

Paul loved cars, rafting, concerts, traveling, gardening and making friends. However his biggest passion was homebrewing and was a member of several brew clubs here in the valley. He served as membership coordinator and Judge Coordinator for Slur N Burp and a member of OBC Portland.

Paul is survived by step-father and mother Robert and Fran Pace; nephew David Johnson Jr.; niece Lacey Gosnell; nephew Michael Johnson, Sr.; and life partner LeAnne Grow of Sherwood.

Paul was preceded in death by his father Paul Johnson Sr. and his brother David Johnson Sr.

A viewing will be on Sunday, Jan. 4 from 5-8 p.m. and on Monday, Jan. 5 from 5-8 p.m. at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6 at St. Mary's Church in Albany followed by interment at Palestine Cemetery.
