Obituary
Perry Richard Ligterink, 49, of Albany passed away Wednesday in Albany.
He was born in Ontario, Canada, the son of Jan and Elsche M. (Bosga) Ligterink. He was raised in Albany, attended North Albany Junior High and graduated from West Albany High School in 1981. Perry attended LBCC for a short time before going to work for Delta Airlines as a flight attendant and worked for Delta for 23 years out of Dallas, Texas. He lived in Arkansas until he retired due to health reasons and moved back to Albany.
He enjoyed traveling, his favorite place was Amsterdam, he did some beauty pageant judging. He enjoyed volunteering in the community and attended Eastside Christian Church.
Perry is survived by his parents Jan and Elsche Ligterink of Albany; brother Tony W. Ligterink of Albany; and nephew Christopher Ligterink of Corvallis.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, at Eastside Christian Church.
