Phyllis Jean WalkerAug. 2, 1934 - April 21, 2010Phyllis Jean Walker, 75, of Albany passed away Wednesday at her home.She was born in Woodlake, Neb., the daughter of Emery and Doris (Wang) Mundt.  She was raised in Nebraska until coming to Albany when she was in fifth grade. Phyllis graduated from Albany Union High School.  She was a homemaker raising four children and one grandson. She is widowed from her husband, Jim Walker.  Family meant everything to Phyllis. She was a past member of the American Legion and the Eagles.Phyllis is survived by her sons, Randy and Greg Glaser of Albany; daughter Pam Onion of Albany; the grandson she raised, Dustin Hayes; brothers Kenny Mundt of Bakersfield, Calif., and Stan Mundt of Portland; sisters Janet Hanger of Corvallis, Sharon Parson of Albany and Carolyn Vanlandingham of Keizer; nine other grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildrenA graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Albany with a celebration of life to follow at the American Legion Post. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements ( www.aasum-dufour.com ).
