Ralph Bernard DavisFeb. 28, 1924 - July 28, 2009Ralph B. Davis, 85, of Albany passed away Tuesday at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.He was born in Warrenton the son of Russell C. and Ruby J. (Straus) Davis.  Ralph was raised in Warrenton and enlisted in the United States Army March 16, 1943.  He served in the European Theater with Company "C" 517th Parachute Infantry and received a Purple Heart. He married June L. Waln in Longview, Wash., on Sept. 22, 1949.  He worked as a fabricator for Ormet and retired.  He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, hunting and motorcycle trail riding.He is survived by his wife, June L. Davis of Albany;  daughter Kathleen Dahlman of Phoenix, Ariz.; sons Lawrence of Texas, James of Sutherland and Jerry of Lebanon; many grandchildren; brothers Bob, Wink, and Dick; and sisters Ann and Bonnie.A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with military honors by the National Guard and the American Legion Posts 10 and 51.  AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
