Renee Rae Richards, 51, of Albany went to be with the Lord on Monday.

She was born in Newport Beach, Calif. She married Gregory Richards on April 09, 1983.

Her family includes her husband of 27 years, Greg; three sons, Matthew, Daniel and Benjamin; two daughters, Aimee and Apryl; parents Donald and Jo Ann Colvin of Eugene; sisters Cherie of Concord, N.C., and Suzette of Eugene; and brother Donnie of Eugene.

Renee was a member of Albany First Assembly of God and was always in the nursery taking care of babies. She loved serving in the church and camping with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping and spending time at the beach. Her life will be remembered by her faithfulness and joy. She always remembered everyone she knew with cards on birthdays and holidays.

Renee had a four-year battle with cancer, but never let that stop her from enjoying life and her family. She leaves a legacy of her five children and a loving husband, and a church full of people who loved her.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Albany First Assembly of God with burial to follow at Willamette Memorial Park.
