Retha A. Flesher, 77, of Lebanon died Monday at her home.
She was born in Endicott, N.Y., the daughter of Ivan and Esther (Lewis) Meade.
Retha was raised in Endicott and attended schools there. She gave her heart to Jesus when she was 12 and has served him faithfully since.
In September of 1958 she married David Curry. David preceded her in death in 1965. In 1967 she married Donald G. Flesher, a minister evangelist. Retha worked at Donald's side in ministry. Donald preceded Retha in death in 1995.
Retha worked in bakery's, sewing shops and cannery's. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, painting, writing poetry and reading. She attended the River Center in Lebanon.
Retha is survived by daughter Carline and Bernie June of Conklin, NY; son Robert and Becky Hilliard of Gearhart,OR; daughter Nancy Curry of Coos Bay, OR; daughter Joan and Daniel Knox of Roseburg, OR; son Donald Curry of Milwaukie, OR; daughter Marjorie Wigrig of Lebanon, OR; son Dwayne Flesher of Albany, OR; 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by son Edward Curry.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 18 at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at Knox Butte Cemetery. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements. (
