Reva "Ruth" Jendresen

Reva "Ruth" Jendresen, 84, of Albany passed away on Tuesday at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.
Ruth was born in Los Angeles, California, to Elmer A. and Ruth E. (Peterson) Tague. She grew up in Los Angeles but left school to care for her ailing father. In 1949 she moved to Seattle, Washington, and married George Alvin Jendresen on June 10, 1950. They resided in Washington until 1970 and Ruth worked as an executive secretary for Boeing. They moved to Scio in 1970 and Ruth worked as executive secretary for Willamette Industries for over 20 years.
Ruth cheerfully and faithfully served as a church volunteer, alongside her husband, wherever they lived. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, needlework and various other crafts. She was a member of Skyline Assembly of God in Scio and Albany First Assembly of God.
Ruth is survived by husband George Jendresen of Albany; daughter Carol Bartlett of Astoria; son John Jendresen of Salem; brothers Jim Tague of New Mexico, and Lee Tague of California; sisters Eva Peretti and Lois Hamilton both of Washington; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Elmer Tague.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Skyline Assembly of God Church in Scio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Missions fund at Skyline Assembly of God Church in care of the funeral home.
