Richard "Rick" Anthony Hale, 42, of Albany died Monday, April 18. He is now at peace.
He was born in Modesto, Calif., to Shirley Hale. They moved to the Willamette Valley when he was 13. He spent the rest of his life in Albany.
He went to Pioneer Pacific College and graduated with a degree in electronic technology. He worked at HP and later at Tripod Data Systems in Corvallis.
He married Kendra Eveleigh in August 2000. They had three wonderful children. He was deeply devoted to them.
He loved spending time with his family. He dearly loved the mountains and fishing. Many days he would get off work to take his kids to the near-by lakes to bank fish. He was a wonderful father and husband. He loved learning how to make things with wood. He would describe himself as a computer geek. He loved tinkering with computers and game systems. Many friends would call upon him to fix their computers.
He is survived by his wife, Kendra Hale, sons Wyatt Eveleigh and Camden Hale, daughter McKenzie Hale, and mother Shirley Hale, all of Albany; mother and father-in-law Marney and Barry Eveleigh of Lebanon; sisters Dawn Perry and Sondi Kleffner, and brother-in-law Ed Perry, all of College Place, Wash.; sister and brother-in-law Edgar Tomlin and Janielle Eveleigh-Tomlin of Vancouver, Wash.; nephew Andrew Perry and wife Amy, nieces Sami Kleffner and Maurisa Roberts, all of College Place, Wash.; many aunts, uncles and cousins in California; and many loving friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to Linn County Mental Health or the fund for Rick's children at Chase Bank under Kendra and Wyatt.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 29, at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery. A gathering will follow at his home.
