Obituary
Richard Thomas Munson, 72, of Albany died Saturday, Oct. 27, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice.
Richard was born in Burns to Albert and Doris (Hotchkiss) Munson. He grew up in Burns and enjoyed working as a cowboy on his uncle and cousins' ranch. He graduated from Burn High School and Oregon State University with an engineering degree.
Soon after graduation, he married Joyce. He went to work running an anodizing plant in Oregon City where they lived for many years. After retirement, the couple moved to Albany to be near family.
Richard enjoyed the gun club, fishing and camping.
Richard is survived by wife Joyce, and sister Molly and husband Richard Twarog. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Crawfordsville Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice or Albany Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
