Rick D. Pierce, 54, of Albany passed away Tuesday at his home.
He was born in Delano, Calif., to William D. and Bobbie J. (Ledbetter) Pierce. In 1965, he moved to Albany. He graduated from West Albany High School and then went to work for the saw mill. He served in the Army for a time and then went to work for H.P. in Corvallis until being laid off.
Rick loved to golf, loved his family and watching his grandbabies.
He is survived by wife Dorothy Pierce of Albany; daughters Jamie L. Pierce of Nevada and Leah M. Pierce of Albany; brothers Bobbie Joe Pierce of Gresham, Billy Ray Pierce of Portland and Dennis K. West of Albany; sisters Treanna Peterman and Annette Lyday of Bakersfield, Calif., and Kelly L. Kirkendahl and Tracy L. Stein of Albany; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. A funeral service be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home, with a graveside to follow at Willamette Memorial Park.
