Robert "Bob" FisherMar. 3, 1941 - Oct. 27, 2009Bob Fisher, 68, passed away Tuesday morning at his home in Albany.He was born in Mankato, Minn., to Leland and Mary (Keller) Fisher. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1959. Bob then joined the Navy where he served in Cuba during the Bay of Pigs. After returning to Mankato he entered the family business with his father and brother, Charles at Fisher Clothing. During this time he met and married Linda Williams on May 21, 1968.Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting and being around any body of water, whether a lake, river, or ocean. He was a Blazer fan when they won and a Viking fan as long as they played.Bob and Linda moved to Albany in 1987 with their daughters Christine and Amy. He has been a realtor for 22 years, beginning with Kingsview Realty, then joining John L. Scott.During the last 16 years Bob was introduced to new interests by his grandchildren; skateboards, snowboards, catchers gear, shooting hoops, shopping, cards and board games.Bob is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters Christine Fisher and Amy and husband David Balderas; grandchildren Austin, Rhees, Kyle, Evan and Chloe; sister Mary and husband Gary Staats of Owatonna, Minn.; one nephew; many nieces; and many friends and family from Minnesota.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Albany.
