Robert E. Forrest passed away peacefully with family at his side on Saturday, July 4, 2026 In Eugene, Oregon.

Bob was born in Taylorsville, IL July 23, 1940. Shortly after the family moved to Portland, OR. Bob graduated from Madison High School in 1958. He married and had two sons they divorced. Bob & Dutch (Dutchess Faulkner) were married until Dutchess's sudden death on December 17, 1991. He was a man who could be: admittedly gruff, soft and tender; not that he'd admit to that, all at the same time. He was a master of many skills, (master diver, master machinist and a master MacGyver) and shared that knowledge with others. Bob owned and operated Bob Forrest Engine Rebuilders for 48 years, in Corvallis, OR.

Bob will be missed greatly by his close companion of 22 years, my mother, Jana, by myself, his "daughter" Minda, and his daughter in law, Heather. Bob, we love you and cherish our memories of you. We see you out in the ocean, just off of Newport, fishing for halibut and diving for crab pain free. We will see you again, all our love…
