Robert S. HannahMay 11, 1925 - April 20, 2009Robert S. Hannah was born in Humboldt, Kansas to Leo M. and Sadie (Thompson) Hannah.  When he was 12 years old the family moved to Corvallis and then settled in Albany.Robert served in the Navy during World War II.  After an honorable discharge he began working in plywood plants.  Robert retired from Wah Chang in 1987 after 31 years as a millwright.In 1946 Robert married Loray Frum in Shedd.  Loray passed away in 2004.  On June 10, 2006 Robert married Anita Bockover.Robert enjoyed panning for gold, and elk hunting.  He was a member of The Old Time Fiddlers Association, Elks and Eagles for 50 years.Robert is survived by wife Anita; sons Larry "Butch" and wife Donna of La comb and Terry and wife Polly of Albany; grandchildren Cory, Casey and Philip, Jensyghne and Jason, and J.R. and Kim; step-grandchildren Brandi and John, Stacie and Michael, Laralee and Nino, and Jerrylee "Spud" and Robin; great-granchildren Shelby, Charlie, Taylor and Zayne; step great-grandchidlren Mark, Cheyenne, Gino, Lorena, Kayla and John.Robert was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.Viewing will be from 1-7 p.m. Thursday at AAsum-Dufour Funeral home.  A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sandridge Cemetery.  There will be a memorial picnic on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Avery Park in Corvallis.  AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements ( www.aasum-dufour.com ).
