Robert "Bob" Raymond MorganDec. 5, 1922 - Oct. 10, 2009Robert "Bob" Morgan, 86, of Albany died Saturday in Salem. He was born in Mill City to Walter and Floy (Souden) Morgan. He graduated from Silverton High School in 1942 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II serving in India.Following the war, Bob married Dee Detjen on Oct. 26, 1947 in Corvallis. Bob was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. His hobbies included airplane pilot, ham radio operator and raising Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs.He is preceeded in death by his parents; sisters Maxine & Joyce; and brothersKeith & Brick.He is survived by his wife, Dee; daughters Karen Morgan of Sacramento, Calif., and Jan Landis and husband Al of Keizer; sons Robert Jr. "Bud" Morgan of Albany, and W. Kevin Morgan of Briggs, Idaho; brothers James of Sisters, John "Jack" of Massachusetts, and Kenneth of Vancouver, Wash.; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.A viewing will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Albany or to National Transplant Assistance Fund, 150 N.
