Robin 'Ruben' Potter
April 4, 1958 - March 10, 2012
Robin "Ruben" Potter, 53, of Albany passed away Saturday at Timberview Care Center.
He was born in Albany the son of Rando A. and Leora A. (White) Potter. He was raised in Albany and attended Knox Butte Elementary, North Albany Junior High and South Albany High School. He worked for Diamond B Sawmill in Philomath which later became Georgia Pacific.
Ruben enjoyed fishing, being around people and volunteering at St. Mary's Soup Kitchen and Gods Heart at Montieth Park. He was very into recycling.
Ruben is survived by his mother, Leora Potter of Albany; father Rando Potter of Lebanon; sister Sue Larson of Honolulu, Hawaii; brothers Randy Potter of Pendleton and Ron "Buck" Potter of Albany; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at Jesus Pursuit Church, 2110 Santiam Highway S.E., Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Samaritan Foundation in Albany for mammograms for uninsured women.
