Ronald Dean Campbell, 71 of Albany, passed away on Friday, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.
Ronald was born in Joplin, Missouri to Earl and Nellie (Austin). He grew up in Coos Bay and worked for the U.S. Department of Forestry. Ron married Judy Hay in Coos Bay on Sept. 25, 1970. Ron was injured in the late 70's and was permanently disabled. He and Judy divorced in 1983 and he came to Albany in 2000 to be with family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing shuffle board and shooting pool. He was a long time member of the Coos Bay Eagles Club.
Ronald is survived by son Russ and wife Sherri Campbell of Albany; step-son Mark Kerner of Oregon; brother Clayton Campbell of Marcola; grandchildren Cody, Zack, Harley, Travis, Amanda, Marilyn, Mark Jr., Kandy, Sabrina, and Shelly; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother Robert; and step-daughter Pam Kerner.
