Ronald W. Schram was born in Lebanon to William and Opal Schram. He attended Albany schools and graduated in 1959 from Albany Union High School, where he met his wife of 48 years, Dorothy.

Ron retired from the Linn County Road Department after 27 years. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars and spent many hours restoring several classics. He loved hunting, model railroads, and working on the family farm. He had a great love for his animals which included a collection of hand me down cats and his Caucasian Shepherds. Ron was a keen observer of humanity and was always first to lend a quiet, helping hand.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Zip), his son Brandt (B.R. Farkel) and daughter-in-law Sarah, his son Mitchell (Smitty Grovro) and partner Curt, and most recently the apple of his eye, his grandson Andrew. Ron is also survived by his brother, Robert.

At Ron's request, there will be no service. Family and friends are invited to meet to celebrate Ron's life at the family's home on April 30th from 12:00 to 3:00pm.
