Obituary
Rose Josephine Sotter, 96 of Albany passed away on Thursday.
Rose was born in a coal mining town of Hastings, Colorado to Matthew and Theresa (Martincic) Kenda. She grew up in Aguilar, CO and graduated from Aguilar High School.
Rose worked for Sears until she married, then became a homemaker. She was married to her husband, August J. Sotter for 41 years, until his passing in 1991. She lived her whole married life in Whittier, CA. She moved to Albany, OR in 2010. She was a member of the Slovene National Benefit Society (SNPJ).
Rose is survived by nieces: Beverley Walkup Radel, Paulette Walkup Bryden, Claudette Walkup Ferris; great nephews: Tom Radel, Stephen Radel, Brian Ferris, Daniel Bryden; great nieces: Christine Radel Schofield, Megan Ferris, Sarah Bryden Rodriguez; great great nieces: Victoria Schofield, Madison Rodriguez, Amelia Rodriguez and Katie Radel.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Committal will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Rowland Heights, CA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in care of Rose Sotter.
