Roy Lee Olson

Roy Lee Olson 77 of Albany passed away on Friday, at his home.

Roy joined the navy at age 17. He became a corpsman and left the service in 1956.

He met his wife in 1960; they were married on Aug. 18, 1961. He passed away after 54 years together. He is deeply missed by his family and friends.

Roy is survived by sons Jim and Randy; granddaughter Rosie Greer; grandson Daniel Olson; and three great-grandchildren Atticus,Blaze and Scarlett.

Roy's entire life was all about family, friends and the job he loved - driving truck. He drove 1 million miles with no accident.

Roy was happiest spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger!

He is loved and missed more than can be expressed.

A open house gathering of friends and family will be from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, October 26 at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home.
