Rudolph J. OsredkarApril 18, 1917 - July 25, 2007Rudy Osredkar, 90, of Albany, passed away Wednesday at home.Rudy was born on the family farm in Sanborn, Wisconsin, to Anton and Katharina Osredkar.After working on the family farm, Rudy joined the Civilian Conservation Corp in 1936. In 1937, at age 20, Rudy moved to Cleveland, OH., and worked for Thompsons Products. Rudy moved back to Sanborn, WI., in 1938 and worked for a cheese factory, where he received his Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese license in 1939.Rudy married Priscilla Morisette in Ashland,WI., June 24, 1939. Rudy was drafted into military service in 1945 and served at Fort Knox, Kentucky.Moving to California in 1962, Rudy worked for the Hoffmaster Paper Company. In 1968, Rudy moved to Junction City, OR., and was the first employee hired by American Cans new paper mill in Halsey.Rudy was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla, in 1989. Rudy is survived by his sons Lawrence of Aloha, OR., Thomas of Hawaii, Peter of Eugene, OR.; daughter Maryann Coon of Albany; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be Tuesday from noon to 6:00 PM at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7 PM. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Willamette Memorial Park, 2640 NE Salem Road, Albany.
