Sandra ?Sandy? Kay Gooding Mills December 6, 1947 - March 8, 2008 Sandy, 60 passed away on Saturday March 8, 2008 in Albany Oregon after a hard-fought battle with cancer with her loving family at her side. Sandy was born in Nevada, Missouri December 6, 1947 to Floyd Everett and Doris LaManda Gooding of Los Lunas New Mexico. She attended Hepler Elementary in Hepler Kansas. Attended Garfield Junior High and graduated from Valley High School in 1965 in Albuquerque New Mexico. Married Tom Mills in St. Therese Church on January 27, 1968. Relocated to Colorado in 1968. On Jan 19, 1972 their daughter Lisa was born in Loveland. Lisa and her husband Matt still live there today. Sandy worked in bank bookkeeping and office managed at propane and insurance companies. In 1994 Tom and Sandy moved to Albany, Oregon. Where Sandy now had the opportunity to pursue her artistic creations full-time. She enjoyed the camaraderie with her quilting and embroidery friends at Rich's Sewing Club where she met her best friend Verna Woods. She has created many works of art with her paintings, fretted woodwork, quilts, embroidery, digitize her own designs, and photography. Her warmth and love is seen in all of her quilts and art works. She will be remembered by her warm welcoming smile and her belief that all people are good.
