Obituary

Sharon Ann Dudek 72 of Albany, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Tuesday, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.

Sharon was born in Henderson, MN to Douglas and Marie (O'Neill) Hughes. She was raised in Belle Plaine, and later moved to Mankato. After graduation she went to work for the gas company in St. Peter. She enjoyed dancing on the weekends at the Kato Ballroom where she met her future husband Bill and was married on September 5, 1964.

In 1965 the couple moved west to Eugene where she worked for Eugene Water and Electric Board. In 1970 the family relocated to Medford and then in 1975 to Klamath Falls where they settled and raised their two children. Sharon worked 27 years in the the County Assessor's Office and Road Department and was also involved with two bowling leagues as well as a member of the Quota Club. In 2002 the couple retired and moved to Albany to be closer to family.

Sharon enjoyed bowling, golf, bible study, watching sports, and most importantly her family.

Sharon is survived by husband of 49 years William "Bill" Dudek; son David Dudek of Olympia, Wash.; daughter Michelle Fief of Albany; grandchildren Gabrielle, Blake, Joel and Claire; sister Yvonne Hughes of Eau Claire, Wisc.; brother Mel Hughes of McMinnville; sister Pat Stenzel of Heron Lake, Minn.; and sister Colleen Baxter of Los Angeles.

She was preceded in death by her father.

To honor Sharon, Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 16 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albany followed by a celebration of her life in the gathering space.
