Obituary
Steven Merle Brainard, 61, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 27, in Albany.
He was born in Seattle, Wash., the son of Herbert and Rosa Brainard. He grew up in Canyonville, Ore., and Lebanon. Steve graduated from Lebanon High School in 1967. He was passionate about fishing and repairing things. Steve was a counselor for Teen Challenge for many years.
He is survived by his three children, Todd, Corey and Nicole; mother Rosa Brainard; two sisters, June Miller and Vicki Emerson; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert "Bud" Brainard; and sister Laura Brainard.
A visitation will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. at the Signs of Victory Chapel, 215 Second St. S.E., Albany.
