Obituary
Steven P. Martin Jr., 68, of Albany died Wednesday suddenly at his home.
He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie McArthur, Wendy Joy and Lisa Beck; granddaughters Lyndsey Austin, Brianna Joy and Kayla Joy; mother Annie Martin of Atwater, Calif.; brother Anthony Martin of Atwater, Calif.; sister Marilyn Calkins of Fresno, Calif.; ex-wife Fayette Martin; and many in-laws.
Steve was born and raised in Gilroy, Calif., and moved to Oregon in 1989. He worked most of his life in construction, later farming a filbert orchard in Millersburg. Steve loved hunting, fishing, cooking, spending time at his home in Toledo, and most of all being with his family and friends.
Steve was a hard worker who loved to share his accomplishments with everyone. "We'll miss his fun-loving attitude and company."
A viewing will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with a celebration of life gathering afterwards in Millersburg.
