Sula Frances Pierce, 65, died peacefully in Albany.
Fran, as she was know by friends and family, was born in Fresno, Calif.
She is survived by children Teresa Pettit of Portland, Sean Pettit of Trumann, Ark., Jody Pettit of Phoenix, Ariz., and Summer Williams of Albany; brothers Everett Wright of Albany, Doyal Wright of Gresham, Mendoy "Butch" Wright of Damascus; and sister Euveda Williams of Albany; as well as eight grandchildren.
Fran moved to Oregon in 1959 with her parents and later married Dale Pierce, moving to Arizona. They loved dancing and won many contest awards. After her husband's passing, Fran took daughter Summer to Lake Pleasant in their motor home most weekends, fishing and swimming as their special time together. She and Summer later returned to Oregon to be near family, living in Albany.
Fran loved to cook, garden and go camping, fishing and hunting. She as a great hostess, entertaining with her caring and spunky personality. She was loved by many.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 12 at Family Worship Center in Gresham.
